(Good Medicine For Your Heart) - Free Indeed - Abundant Living After Abuse

February 3

Have you ever met a person who is utterly miserable and anything you say to this person they take it the wrong way? You only get the first words out of your mouth with a hello how are you today and they either take it offensively or defensively leaving you with questions like who hurt this person as a child or what is wrong with him or her?

Even in our own families or worst we may be married to a person like this where you have to walk on eggshell every time you are near them to avoid confrontation. For whatever the reasons these individuals are like this, they are not alone. In fact, we all have our days where some of us can be this very person. Unfortunately, when people are chronically in a state of being miserable, most often than not, they are like this because of unresolved issues from their past. It is a heart condition that could be stemming from childhood, a traumatic experience, betrayal, sickness or broken spirit.

As a behavior specialist, I see firsthand the effects of abuse or how traumatic experiences have on a child. I have met children that don’t smile, laugh and are in constant state of frustration and hurt. When I attempt to speak with the parents about their child, the parents also are in the same condition as their child or worst. The more I work with these families and their unresolved issues, the more they are able to see glimpse of happiness and that to me is far greater than gold.

If you are someone who has been attempting to heal from your past hurts, sad memories and unresolved issues choose today to take care of your heart. After all, you only have one heart and the matters of the heart if unresolved will give you dried bones. The Bible says “a happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22

Want to avoid dried bones? Seek a Christian counselor, speak with a trusted pastor, mental health professional and begin healing today. Your heart and your spirit deserve it.

You deserve healing and your true healing comes from the Lord so ask him today to help you get on the right path.
