When I was in my teens, I
remember several times that a lot of my friends were invited to a party but I
was not. I was not the most popular girl in school and if I was popular for
some odd reason it was not for a good reason. Nevertheless, not being invited
meant that I was not popular as the other girls and that really hurt my
feelings. Well, as Christians we are not going to be popular but we are all
invited to Earth’s Final Royal Wedding. With this being said, to accept the
invitation for Earth’s Final Royal Wedding that has been given to all of us,
there is a process. In the last posts, I was mentioning the attire and how He
will clothe us with the attire of righteousness. In addition, I was focusing on
the character that will get us into the Wedding Attire that we will need to
access entry into the Royal Wedding. Our character cannot be changed in our own
power but rather through the power of the Comforter which is the Holy Spirit.
One of my posts I speak of Free
Will and how we will either be willing participants or unwilling
participants in Earth’s Final Royal Wedding because of our free will. We have a
power to choose Christ or deny him. Hence, we also have power through the Holy
Spirit to choose to forgive or not to forgive. Therefore, I say that forgiveness
is a choice that is led by the Holy Spirit and on the other hand, choosing not
to forgive is also led but by another spirit that is not holy.
When we allow ourselves to be
resentful towards others or hold a grudge you are allowing the other person who
wronged you to control you. When another person is controlling you, then there
is no room for Christ to lead you. The very thought of seeing the person
physically or even in pictures stirs your soul. These feelings toward the
person become negative emotions each time. As we continue to keep these grudges
and not forgive, these very people you are not fond of, they in turn hold the
key to your happiness, your mental wellbeing and your health. If they hold the
key to your happiness, then by default you are forfeiting your invitation into
Earth’s Final Royal Wedding and that is just too much power for someone to give
to. Now, if they have the power over you, then does God have any power over you
or your life? And if He does not have power over your life, then who does? The
answer is quite simple…Satan.
Satan is always waiting for
you to give into resentment, hatred and anger. When that happens you have opened
a portal for him to come into your life and by doing so, you are disqualified from
attending Earth’s Final Royal Wedding. Therefore, Satan will have power over
you, your thoughts and your character and unfortunately the Holy Spirit cannot
prepare you for the GREAT Royal Wedding. You have lost all power and have
become powerless. If Satan is using someone to have power over you, then you
have defaulted and honestly God does not want anyone to have power over the one
He paid a huge ransom over. If
an unforgiving heart is keeping you from participating in Earth’s Final Royal
Wedding, ask the Holy Spirit to help you forgive.
The
Bible says “therefore, as God’s chosen
people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness,
humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and
forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as
the Lord forgave you” Colossians 3:12-13 our attire
is to be clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
You see, our attire is very important and as I mentioned before, our attire is
spiritual and we cannot put on our own attire but rather, it is placed on us
through the leading of the Holy Spirit.
So, if your (strongholds) are
resentment an unforgiving heart is what is keeping you from participating in
Earth’s Final Royal Wedding, seek wisdom and discernment from the Holy Spirit
and see what wondrous things he does for you.
After all, forgiveness is a
choice and your choices in life will dictate whether you attend Earth’s Final
Royal Wedding as a willing participant or an unwilling participant.
It is you
