There was a time in my life where I believed that what I was doing was right but I was dead wrong. For example, I would seek the Lord but when he took long to answer my prayers, I went in my own power and it went all wrong. Let’s look at Saul of Tarsus was a spiritual leader a member of the Sanhedrin of the temple council. Saul was also highly trained by Pharisee teacher Gamaliel, one of the most recognized Rabi in Jewish history. This pride was that they were better than Christ and that their religion was in jeopardy of this radical leader. Hence, the spirit behind Saul’s motives was distorted. It was not until Saul was convicted and began to have faith in Christ that anyone can see a true change. Saul had a sense of pride that caused him to be devoid of the truth. Saul hated the Christians because the Christians were not following the ritualistic and traditional religion of the time.

The Holy Spirit without true conviction and faith in the Creator breeds legalism. Hence you have "believers including spiritual leaders" saying they are being led by the Holy Spirit when in fact are led by a spirit but not the Holy Spirit. Dark forces are creating a state of delusion clouding their spiritual senses. Pride of self produces the unsavory fruit of legalism and both Sanhedrin and Pharisee were known for being legalistic that makes their religion seem like an occult.

Often the Holy Spirit is neglected because the lack of understanding what His mission is in our lives. When we neglect the workings of the Holy Spirit and his leading we become rebellious causing us to practice witchery by default at first. The snares of witchcraft are crafty, this demonic fruit is sanctioned by non-other than the father of lies. This is why a pastor can use his role as a spiritual leader to rape, molest, embezzle funds and create division in a church, or a member or members can gossip about others in the church and even kill in the name of God.

If one is not aware of the army they are in, they just might be fighting in the wrong side just like Saul of Tarsus. All the angels created before sin entered the world knew that they were part of an excellent plan until doubt planted by the deceiver with an unholy spirit began to sprout and witchcraft entered creating a new realm. This new realm continues to widen encroaching upon the lives of even the chosen. The fruit of the Spirit is sweet and produces a fragrance that only the Holy Spirit can bestow upon our hearts and mind. This sweet fragrance can only attract those who are living putrid lives and who desire the sweet breath of life that Heaven provides us.

We are to ask our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to open our hearts and minds to receive the Holy Spirit. With a contrite and a forgiving heart the Holy Spirit can work with us and our healing journey and to bring health to our bodies. 

Promise: “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22
