When was the last
time you have been to a wedding? I can tell you that it has been over 7 years
the last time I went to a wedding and never to a Royal Wedding. I think most of
us have never been to a Royal Wedding but I know for sure that we were not at the
first Royal Wedding. You see, the first Royal Wedding took place at the Garden
of Eden. Yes, you heard me correctly.
After God made everything good, meaning he prepared a home, provided everything
a couple will need then he proceeded to make man but God knew that man should
not be alone. The Bible says…
And the Lord God said, “It is not good
that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the
field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he
would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was
its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the
birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not
found a helper comparable to him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall
on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in
its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made
into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my
bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a
man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall
become one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were
not ashamed.
The
first Royal Wedding, all of Creation was present. God sought out to make woman
for man so that he may not be alone. What a glorious first Royal Wedding. Here
we have two members of the Royal Family getting married. What an amazing
experience. Unfortunately, these two Royals made a royal mess of everything by
choosing anarchy by showing their new allegiance to Satan. It was at this
moment that Christ Jesus chose to get His Royal Family back but he was not
going to force himself on them, but rather through His love, he wanted to win
the souls of man and that we were yet sinners, He died for you and me. Christ
left his Royal Kingdom to join humanity as a lowly nomad and die on the cross
so that we can be with him for eternity.
If
you look at Christ’s first miracle, it was at a wedding. Christ Jesus loves
weddings and this is why, I strongly believe that He references himself as the
Bridegroom. The First Wedding sets the tone for soon return. It is now that His
Holy Spirit is working in us. The Holy Spirit is guiding us into a deeper relationship
with Christ Jesus because Christ Jesus is the Lover of Our Souls.
As we get
closer and closer to Christ Jesus, we will understand more of him and through
the Holy Spirit we will build our faith, build our longing to be with him, build
our confidence through him and in the process become willing testimonies of how
God has healed you and me. Although we did not attend the first Royal Wedding,
we can through Christ Jesus and the leading of the Holy Spirit attend the Final
Royal Wedding in Earth’s history.
My friend, you and I are invited, will you be
attending?
