The final
step is one very important key that helps us achieve not only to accept Christ
Jesus into our lives, but also achieve through the leading of the Holy Spirit a
Re-Born Identity. ACCEPTING Christ and having a Re-Born Identity allows you to
have peace as you continue your spiritual walk with the Lord. When people have
been abused as children and even adult, one thing that keeps them in bondage is
the inability to forgive. Therefore, last but not least, the one very important
key that helps us accept Christ and achieve a Re-Born Identity is the power of
forgiveness. But first, let’s take a look at the fruit of the Spirit. The Bible
says “the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.
Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
God is a God
of order and anything opposite of what he says is not God’s. So, if the fruit of the spirit is love then
hate is the opposite, joy is the opposite of sadness, peace is the opposite of
turmoil and so on and so forth. Hence, if you are hating, sad, or in turmoil,
who do you think is keeping you there? Yes! Satan is. It is Satan that humanity
fell in the first place and what do you think his goal is? The answer is quite
simple, he lives to destroy you. The Bible says of Satan also known as the Thief
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might
have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
All invited to Earth’s Final Royal Wedding will need to have a change in
character but not through our strength but through the Holy Spirit. When we do
not forgive, we live in bondage.
When we speak of power we believe that we have
the power in ourselves to forgive others but do we? Do we need a higher power
that knows the intricate workings of our core issues and the true power of
forgiveness? Although forgiveness seems to be an uncomfortable subject, the
truth of the matter is, forgiveness is vital for spiritual growth. What
conjures up in your mind when you think of the word forgiveness? Most often
than not, people shriek when thinking of forgiving someone, are reminded of
hurtful events or people and tend to shy away from the very topic.
Forgiveness is an action word that means that
you have to do something in order for it to function but not just by saying that
you will forgive a person but rather by also employing it into your very being.
Forgiveness has power, more power than one would care to think. Did you know
that some people may not even deserve forgiveness? Take us as human beings, do
we deserve forgiveness? No! Yet God teaches us that we must forgive. If He can
do it for us who deserve no forgiveness whatsoever, then why not forgive those who
have hurt us? Is being in a state of forgiveness overwhelming? Yes! It can be
at first but it is a process.
Have you learned the real reason we need to
forgive people? Well, if you do not know, forgiveness is showing grace and
mercy but not only that, it is about blessing them as well and healing from
within. Forgiveness is an action word as mentioned earlier but it is also an
internal process that heals the soul. Forgiveness opens a door of possibility
in one’s life, while resentment closes every possibility. What is our objective
when we forgive?
Freedom
in Christ
Obedience
to the Lord
Releasing
those who hurt you
Gain
a better understanding of God’s love for us
Inviting
the Holy Spirit to dwell in us
Victory
over the enemy
Entering
into a state of grace & mercy & participate in Earth’s Final Royal Wedding
What a
Glorious day that will be when we all meet at Earth’s Final Royal Wedding. I need you to understand, just because you go
to church every weekend, wear the nicest clothes, feed the hungry, go on
mission trips, or sing in the choir does not qualify you to attend Earth’s
Final Royal Wedding. It is accepting Christ Jesus (Relationship), through the
Holy Spirit have a Re-Born Identity (Character) and having the power of forgiveness
(fruit of the Spirit) you will be eligible to participate in that Glorious day.
When
we do not have the three our Lord will say, He does not know you. As I
mentioned at my first post in this series, my grandmother did not recognize me
in her final days on this side of life and this hurt me a great deal. At the
close of Earth’s History, we will be accepted into Earth’s Final Royal Wedding
and hearing the Bridegroom say “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful
servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over
many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew
25:21
Or
Some of us will hear “Not every one that
saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that
doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that
day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast
out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess
unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23
Has your past kept you from
accepting Christ Jesus, having a Re-Born Identity and getting the power of
forgiveness?
Only you can answer this question. Are you really ready to
forgive?
