The last couple of posts focused on the Armor of God. Last but not
least is the Sword of the Spirit and prayer. We are fighting the unseen and powerful evil forces but the Sword is what differentiates between good and evil.
As did Daniel, Elijah, Abraham, Jacob and Jesus, we must be
in constant prayer for our world, our children, family, our spouses, friends
and enemies. We must diligent in this are as it is the area that Satan attacks
us the most. If he can keep us from praying then he knows he has won the
battle. We must ask for strength in the Lord so that we can continue in the
fight for those we love.
If you have been abused as a child (i.e. sexually,
emotionally, physically, spiritually and or verbally) you may have your
reservations of Christ. You may be tired of being tired of this world and pain
and suffering, but don’t be discouraged. I know, I have been so broken that I
could not even begin to pray. Remember this; your strength comes from the Lord.
Remember, man can encourage you and turn around and discourage you, but God is not man.
Draw from His strength and arm yourself with His Armor in prayer and by His
Word.
SWORD Of The Spirit - “…and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” Ephesians 6:17
KNEE BATTLE – “Praying
always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance
and supplication for all saints;” Ephesians 6:18
Your Strength Comes
from GOD
Fear Not He Will Strengthen you
Isaiah 41:10 “10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be
not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will
strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the
right hand of my righteousness.”
Jesus Overcame the World
John 16:33 “33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in
me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good
cheer; I have overcome the world.”
When You feel faint- He will renew your
strength
Isaiah 40:29-31 “29 He giveth power to the faint; and to
them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the
youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But
they that wait upon the Lord shall
renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”.
He gives us Wisdom
Proverbs 9:10 “10 The fear of the Lord is the
beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
No Weapon shall
prosper
Isaiah 54:17 “10No weapon
formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of
the Lord, And their righteousness is
from Me,” Says the Lord.”
Freedom comes with a price. The price of freedom was the
CROSS. Our weapons have been given to us by one who rose himself from death,
who fought demons first-hand and who was hated by his creation.
This is
powerful! Be free in Christ and pick up your ARMOR soldier of Christ.
