In our healing journey we need to experience a deep
understanding of, connection and relationship with the Holy Spirit. You might
be wondering how the Holy Spirit ties in with healing. The answer my friend is
quite simple. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and he is what we need when we
begin and continue our healing journey and into becoming free in Christ. The
Bible says that Jesus prepared the disciples that the Comforter would be coming
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy
Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and
bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26
The Holy Spirit will teach us in the Spiritual because as we
should know the battle that we are fighting on earth is not in the physical but
in the Spiritual. Also, through the Holy Spirit we will learn about the fruits
of the Spirit and this is extremely important in our healing journey as the
Bible says “But the
fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23 and as victims and survivors in
order to receive true healing, we must bear these fruits but not in our own
strength but with the power of the Holy Spirit.
When
Jesus was here on earth He wanted to do and say so much more to the disciples
but he knew his time was drawing close and the disciples were not really ready.
Jesus was attempting to explain to his disciples more about the Holy Spirit,
you can read the following Bible verses “But
when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He
will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell
you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will
receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine.
That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to
you.” John 16:13-15
The Holy Spirit
is the Spirit of Truth, not lies or deceptions, but in truth. The Holy Spirit
also will be the constant voice of Christ in us, so when Satan comes with lies
the Holy Spirit will empower you. The Holy Spirit will comfort and provide you
with truth about who you are in Christ. This only happens as you begin to
understand, connect and build a relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy
Spirit will make known to you the things that Christ is attempting to move in
your heart.
